a lot of the fun i've had working on this site comes from the inspiration i get when i mix and max found web graphics. however, it can be very difficult to source things due to defunct pages, broken links, reposting, tumblr, etc. i see a lot of value in archiving web aesthetics and reusing archived gifs, but also recognize that blatantly ignoring terms of use that creators have laid out is just an asshole move. i am currently in the long process of overhauling html-garden to have clearer citations.
avoid hotlinking by downloading the image and uploading it to your own site instead of linking the image url. hotlinking can really slow sites down!
